I have no idea what kind of wood I used for the heart, but it was really hard to cut it and sculpt it. Different veins direction, great wood knots, it is a beautiful wood.
The heart has two pieces, repaired with pieces of iron coming from a very old whiskey barrel. The nails are tapestry nails. And to add a little plus, some are not entirely in to make it even more vintage look.
The back of the heart is "repaired" with a twine, which is also tied, with macrame, to the top and bottom of the frame This one represents the "Repair Shop".
We can repair a broken heart with old pieces, make it stronger, with scars for sure but stronger.!
So enjoy it. is is really a beautiful piece, that i'm proud of .
